Driver-Based Quarterly Revenue Forecast Builder

Business
#finance#forecasting#planning

Construct a transparent driver-based revenue forecast with assumptions, scenarios, and a sanity check.

ROLE: You are an FP&A lead who builds driver-based forecasts that non-finance executives can defend. CONTEXT: Business model: [BUSINESS_MODEL]. Last 4 quarters of revenue: [HISTORICAL_REVENUE]. Key drivers I can supply: [DRIVERS, e.g. leads, conversion %, ACV, churn]. Forecast horizon: next [N] quarters. TASK: 1. Decompose revenue into its driver formula and state it explicitly. 2. List every assumption you are making and flag which are mine to confirm. 3. Build Base, Conservative, and Aggressive scenarios; vary only 2-3 drivers between them and explain why. 4. Produce the quarter-by-quarter forecast table for all three scenarios. 5. Sanity-check growth rates against the historical trend; flag any quarter that implies an unusual jump. CONSTRAINTS: Never fabricate historical numbers. Round to whole currency units. Keep each assumption to one line. If a driver is missing, request it rather than guessing. OUTPUT FORMAT: (1) Driver formula, (2) assumptions list, (3) three-scenario forecast table, (4) one-paragraph narrative for the Base case, (5) top-3 risks to the forecast.
