Privacy Policy

PromptJectManager is a free, bring-your-own-key (BYOK) browser extension and a companion website (promptjectmanager.com). This policy explains what data is involved and what is — and isn't — collected. The short version: PromptJectManager has no backend server and collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device.

1. Who we are

PromptJectManager is an independent project. For any privacy question, contact us via the contact page.

2. What we collect

Nothing on our servers — because there are none. PromptJectManager does not have a backend, does not run analytics or tracking, sets no cookies, and has no user accounts. We never receive, store, or have access to your prompts, your API keys, or your browsing.

3. Data stored on your device

The extension saves the following locally in your browser (Chrome storage.local), readable only by the extension on your machine:

• Your API key for your chosen AI provider
• Your prompt templates, saved sites, and preferences
• A local history of your recent generations (capped, never uploaded)

You can delete all of it at any time by removing items in the extension or uninstalling it.

4. How AI requests work (BYOK)

When you enhance, build, or score a prompt, the extension sends that text directly from your browser to the provider you configured — OpenRouter or Google Gemini — using your own API key. The request does not pass through us. Your use of those providers is governed by their privacy policies:

5. The website

The website serves static pages and sets no cookies or analytics. If you use the contact form, the name, email, and message you submit are sent to our team's private Discord channel so we can read and reply. Provide an email only if you'd like a response; you can also reach us without sharing one.

6. Data sharing & selling

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. We have no advertising and no third-party trackers. The only third parties involved are the AI provider you choose (section 4) and Discord for contact-form messages (section 5).

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because your data lives on your own device and we hold nothing, you are in direct control: you can access, export, or delete it yourself at any time through the extension or your browser. For contact-form messages, you may ask us to delete what you sent via the contact page. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of under "Do Not Sell."

8. Security

Data is kept locally by your browser and never transmitted to us. Network requests to AI providers and to the website use HTTPS. Keep your API keys confidential — anyone with your key can use your provider account.

9. Children

PromptJectManager is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and post the revised version here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
