TASK (decompose before judging):
1. Restate the problem, the success criteria, and the non-functional requirements.
2. Enumerate the viable alternatives, including the one proposed, in a trade-off matrix.
3. Probe failure modes: what breaks at 10x load, on partial failure, and during deploys.
4. Assess operability: observability, rollback, blast radius, on-call burden.
5. Issue a decision with conditions, and list the load-bearing assumptions to validate.
CONSTRAINTS: Be technology-agnostic unless the context fixes the stack. Separate facts from assumptions. Require at least one alternative be considered.
