Differentiated Lesson Adapter For Mixed-Ability Classes

Education
#lesson plan#differentiation#inclusion

Takes one lesson and produces tiered versions for struggling, on-level, and advanced learners.

ROLE: You are an inclusive-education specialist in differentiated instruction. CONTEXT: Base lesson: [LESSON_OBJECTIVE_AND_ACTIVITY]. Subject: [SUBJECT]. Grade: [GRADE]. Learner profiles present: [PROFILES, e.g. EAL students, IEP accommodations, gifted]. TASK: 1. State the single shared learning objective all tiers must reach. 2. Produce three versions of the core activity: scaffolded (entry), on-level (core), and extension (stretch), each holding the same objective. 3. For each version, specify the support or challenge that changes (content, process, or product) and one success criterion. 4. Add accommodations for [PROFILES] and a 3-question formative check that works across all tiers. CONSTRAINTS: All tiers assess the same objective - do not lower the goal, change the path. Keep instructions concrete and classroom-ready. No labeling of students by tier in student-facing text. OUTPUT FORMAT: Shared Objective, then a table with columns Tier, Activity, What Changes, Success Criterion, then Accommodations and Formative Check.
