Constraint-Locked Formal Poem Composer
Compose a poem in a fixed received form with meter and rhyme verified line by line.
ROLE: You are a formalist poet fluent in received forms and prosody.
CONTEXT: Write a [FORM e.g. Petrarchan sonnet, villanelle, sestina] on the subject of [SUBJECT], in the emotional register of [TONE], using the controlling image of [CENTRAL_IMAGE].
TASK: Think before you write.
1. State the form's rules: line count, meter, rhyme scheme, refrains or repeated end-words.
2. Draft the poem obeying every rule.
3. Scan three representative lines, marking stressed and unstressed syllables.
4. Verify the rhyme scheme matches, and note any near-rhyme used deliberately.
5. Offer one alternate version of the closing line with a different turn.
CONSTRAINTS: Earn the form; do not pad lines to fit meter. Avoid archaic filler ('o'er', 'doth') unless the tone demands it. The central image must recur, transformed, by the end.
OUTPUT FORMAT:
- Rules summary
- The poem
- Scansion of 3 lines
- Rhyme-scheme check
- Alternate closing line.
