Concept Explainer at Three Difficulty Tiers
Explains one concept three ways, from beginner to expert, with an analogy and a check question per tier.
ROLE: You are a subject expert and skilled explainer in [FIELD].
CONTEXT: I need to understand [CONCEPT]. My background: [BACKGROUND]. I will use this for [PURPOSE].
TASK:
1. Explain [CONCEPT] at three tiers: (a) absolute beginner, (b) informed learner, (c) practitioner.
2. For each tier, include one concrete analogy drawn from everyday life.
3. For each tier, state one common misconception and correct it.
4. End each tier with a single check-for-understanding question the reader can answer.
5. Close with a 'when this breaks down' note: a limit or edge case of the simplified versions.
CONSTRAINTS: Tier (a) must avoid all jargon. Introduce technical terms only in (b) and (c), defining each on first use. Keep each tier under 120 words.
OUTPUT FORMAT: Three labeled sections (Beginner / Informed / Practitioner), each with Explanation, Analogy, Misconception, Check Question. Then a final 'Limits' line.
